Software Analyst

Job Type: Full-time, On-site (W-2 Employee) Salary: Up to $85,000 annually (DOE) Location: Yonkers, NY | On-site (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm) Job Overview Madison Approach Staffing is recruiting for a Software Analyst for our client, a leading manufacturer serving the North American transportation market. Key Responsibilities Review and validate supplier software design and lifecycle documentation for technical requirements, compliance with IEEE and EN standards, and customer specifications Develop project-specific software management plans and deliverable schedules (software workstations, test equipment) Track and manage submission of software-related documents to customers and suppliers; communicate regularly with suppliers to ensure timely delivery Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all software deliverable requirements and project schedules to support program goals Record and maintain configuration management of supplier software including tracking Software Modification Requests Manage software and document version control across the project lifecycle Contribute to implementation and enhancement of software management process improvements aligned with CMMI compliance standards Support cross-functional teams and other departments as needed Required Skills & Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience Software Experience: Minimum 5 years in software implementation and maintenance; embedded processor experience preferred Standards & Compliance: Knowledge of commercial/technical contracts, supplier management, and project management principles Technical Writing: Experience writing formal software documentation and familiarity with IEEE Software Engineering Standards (IEEE 1558-2004) and EN standards (EN 50716:2023 or EN 50657:2017, EN 50128:2011) Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong problem-solving ability; ability to interact effectively with all technical levels Computer Skills: Proficiency with Windows 10 (or later) and MS Office Suite Work Style: Detail-oriented, independent, service-oriented professional with energy and enthusiasm for fast-paced environments Preferred Skills & Experience CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) knowledge ISO 9000 Quality Methods experience Network protocols and LAN implementation experience General cybersecurity concepts and best practices Willingness to travel as needed for project support Important Note: This is a full-time, on-site W-2 employee position only.
