CNC Machinist, 1 st Shift :  Rockford, IL

We are seeking an experienced  CNC Machinist   to join a growing manufacturing team in Rockford. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who is comfortable setting up and operating CNC equipment, reading blueprints, making machine adjustments, and ensuring finished components meet quality standards.

Key  Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes 
• Read and interpret blueprints, designs, and specifications 
• Work with preset CNC programs and formulas for mills and lathes 
• Read and interpret CNC programs and utilize G-code 
• Select appropriate tool holders and cutting tools for each job 
• Calculate and make necessary measurement corrections for component parts 
• Use MDI to adjust or modify temporary programs as needed 
• Inspect first-article and in-process parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment 
• Perform machine adjustments to maintain quality and production requirements 
• Deburr, clean, and inspect completed parts 
• Accurately complete production and quality records 
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and shop area 
• Follow applicable industry and government safety standards

Skills & Experience :

• Education : HS Diploma  required
• Experience : 5+ years of CNC machining experience  required ; experience working on CNC Haas machines preferred
• Knowledge:  Ability to read and interpret blueprints  required
• Software:  Experience with Mastercam highly preferred

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00/hour

Type: Full-Time, 1st Shift, On-Site

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
