Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - In addition to meeting the unit experience requirements, work experience must reflect at least 12 months (1 year) of uninterrupted experience working in the same unit/specialty you’re applying to.

Special Requests: - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit. - If multiple shifts are posted, only apply to your preferred shift. - Block schedule may be accommodated, as long as it doesn’t have to be the same days every week.

Unit Details: - General Med Surg Unit, some post-op ortho and general surgery. - Uses Mindray Telemetry System.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend required. - No call required. - Flexible contract hours: 48 per week may be accommodated. - 1 week max RTO approved.

Floating Requirements: - Required to float as needed, but rarely. May occasionally float to ICU to take MS overflow or step-down patients.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
