Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in an acute care teaching hospital. The ideal candidate will operate ultrasound equipment, perform scans, and collaborate with medical teams to ensure accurate patient diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining processes clearly.
  
  
• 
  Analyze imaging results, document findings accurately within the electronic medical record system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  
  
• 
  Maintain equipment and ensure calibration for optimal performance.
  
  
• 
  Comply with licensing, certification, and facility policies, including documentation and reporting requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  ARDMS certification and valid Oregon State License required.
  
  
• 
  BLS certification required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound imaging experience.
  
  
• 
  Ability to perform scans independently with strong attention to detail.
  
  
• 
  Must be willing to float within the system as needed.
  
  
• 
  Active state licensure and minimum of one professional reference from a supervisor or manager.
