POSITION SUMMARY:

The Grant Adherence Manager is responsible for monitoring and ensuring adherence to the requirements of assigned grants, contracts, and funding agreements across the organization. This position serves as the primary compliance partner to operational and program leaders, ensuring that contractual obligations, performance measures, reporting deadlines, documentation requirements, and program deliverables are achieved in accordance with funder expectations.

The Grant Adherence Manager provides ongoing oversight throughout the grant and contract lifecycle, identifies risks and compliance concerns, coordinates corrective actions, and supports departments in maintaining funding compliance. The position works closely with Finance, Human Resources, Planning & Measurement, and program teams to strengthen accountability, minimize risk, and support successful program outcomes.

COMPETENCIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant Management

• Manage multiple grants through different government funders, foundations, and private funding sources.
• Monitor grant performance, deliverables, budgets, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure successful implementation of the grant requirements.
• Review grant and contract requirements to ensure clear understanding of deliverables, performance expectations, reporting schedules, participant requirements, and documentation standards.

Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management

• Conduct routine monitoring of assigned grants and contracts to identify compliance risks, performance concerns, or missed requirements.
• Work directly with program and operational leaders to address findings, documentation deficiencies, and performance gaps.
• Develop and monitor corrective action plans when compliance concerns or performance issues are identified.
• Escalate significant risks, recurring findings, or unresolved compliance issues to the Vice President of Grant Adherence.
• Monitor contract performance against established outcomes, service levels, participant requirements, and deliverables.
• Identify trends that may impact funding compliance, performance targets, or contract renewals.

Communication

• Produce clear and accurate reports and grant related documentation to funders.
• Translates technical policy information into clear and concise content for Club staff.
• Provide leaders with timely information regarding upcoming deadlines, compliance requirements, and potential risks.

Collaboration and Partnerships

• Work closely with other departments to maintain accurate grant information, reporting requirements, and expectations.
• Build productive partnerships with funders and community partners.
• Demonstrates the ability to collaborate and effectively work within and across teams to accomplish our organizational goals in support of our Mission and each other.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience managing grants, contracts, or funded projects preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Proficiency with grant databases and CRM systems.
• Exceptional written communication, attention-to-detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Must be able to pass a Level II background screening ( and drug screening through one of our vendors.

TRAVEL:

Travel may be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Pinellas counties for training and professional development or other business purposes.
