Admissions Counselor

The Admissions Counselor plays a vital, mission-driven role in advancing the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay’s commitment to student success, access, and regional impact. This position plans, develops, and executes strategic recruitment and admissions efforts aligned with institutional priorities—expanding educational opportunity, strengthening enrollment pathways, and fostering a talented, diverse student body across Northeast Wisconsin. Serving as an enthusiastic ambassador for UW–Green Bay, the Admissions Counselor builds relationships with prospective and admitted students, families, schools, and community partners, delivering clear, compelling messages that reflect our brand, values, and promise: Together, We Rise. Compensation Minimum compensation of $44,739. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree by start date Experience in admissions, customer service, or related field Preferred Qualifications Professional experience in K-12 or post-secondary education Proficiency in speaking and reading in a second language, preferably Spanish, Hmong, Oneida, or Somali Experience with software systems such as Peoplesoft, Salesforce, ImageNow that support Admissions processes Conditions of Appointment Travel to southeastern Wisconsin high schools, fairs and other institutions will be necessary; a combination of daytime, evening, and weekend advising hours will be required to meet the needs of the program and its students. This position may have the option to work on campus or a hybrid schedule, subject to approved telecommuting request. The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to travel to or work at the Marinette, Sheboygan or Manitowoc campus, based on operational needs. Position is a full‑time Academic Staff appointment. A pre‑employment education check, which includes the verification of academic credentials, will be conducted on the finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s) and, if there is prior work history within the last 7 years with Universities of Wisconsin, a personnel file review check for employee misconduct.
