Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS BLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM Must-Have: 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery specialty. The unit has a total of 12 beds. Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 2 patients. The team consists of RNs, a unit secretary, and surgical techs. Familiarity with documentation systems such as CPN and Meditach is required. Scheduling requires 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per RN. The floating policy indicates that travelers float first. Patient experience relies on shared decision-making. Advanced skills for RNs include: Care of the laboring patient. Care of the newborn immediately after delivery. Circulating and recovering cesarean section patients. Procedures performed on the unit include: Vaginal deliveries. Cesarean sections. D&C procedures. Cerclage placement. Epidural anesthesia administration. Labor management. Dress code requires scrubs in Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray. Scrubs are not provided.
