Executive Chef Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 4+ years of kitchen management experience
• Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume kitchen environment with annual sales exceeding $4 million
• Experience working with proteins such as steak and seafood
• Strong skills in managing all back-of-house operations including scheduling, hiring, inventory, and purchasing
• Demonstrated focus on food quality, customer service, teamwork, and cost control
• Hands-on leadership style with a commitment to quality in a small team setting
• Experience managing seasonal fluctuations in high sales volumes

Executive Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring efficiency and excellence
• Lead, train, and develop the back-of-house team with a practical, hands-on approach
• Manage all back-of-house cost areas including inventory, purchasing, and scheduling
• Collaborate closely with front-of-house leadership to maintain seamless service and high guest satisfaction
• Maintain consistent food quality and operational standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
