Field Service Technician

Compensation: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour Posted 11 days ago | Apply before June 30, 2026 Description The Field Service Technician will repair, fabricate, install, and remove a variety of vertical turbine pumps, centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps as well as other related rotating equipment, both in-shop and in the field. Duties include system troubleshooting, field alignment, equipment start-up, maintaining company vehicles and shop equipment, and accurately and professionally completing all field tickets and job reports. Responsibilities Repair, fabrication, installation, and removal of all brands of centrifugal and vertical turbine pumps Perform work on gear, diaphragm, H-Pumps, and API pumps Conduct system troubleshooting, field alignment, and equipment start-up Maintain company vehicles and shop equipment Complete field tickets and job reports accurately and professionally Work off-site and in the shop as required Use vibration and alignment tools Ensure safety and document all tasks from installation to warranty transition Provide training to operators and engineering staff (1–25 people) Obtain service reports signed by the appropriate company representative before leaving the location Communicate customer comments and concerns to DXP personnel Represent DXP professionally, including proper PPE and appearance Be available for after-hours field service when needed Qualifications 3–5 years of pump experience Experience with rotating equipment repair Limited electrical license or knowledge of electrical systems, including taking voltage and amperage readings in a three‑phase system and using a meter to measure motor windings Laser alignment skills and knowledge of vibration analysis desirable Acceptable driving record per company guidelines Own hand tools Good communication skills, professional appearance, and technical aptitude Ability to complete installation, startup, scheduled maintenance, functional and performance testing, training, project closeout, and warranty transition Strong user knowledge of laptops, tablets, Microsoft Office, Outlook, PDF, and document preparation and reporting Familiarity with all DXP products Job Details Pay: $38.00 - $40.00/hr, DOE Physical Demand: Able to lift up to 50 lbs Working Conditions: Outside field jobs; extreme cold/heat Training/Certifications: Any pump certifications Shift: 40 hours a week with overtime as needed; scheduled on‑call after training Travel: As needed; company vehicle provided Education: High School Diploma required Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending, 401(k), paid holidays, Life and Disability Insurance, supplemental products; 401(k) for part‑time and temporary employees We are an equal‑opportunity employer.
