2027 Summer Intern - Aerospace, Defense & Government Finance

Overview This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. First Citizens Bank offers an exciting summer internship program that provides development opportunities and hands on work experience while creating a talent pipeline for the Bank. Internship dates: 5/24/27 - 7/30/27 Responsibilities & Qualifications Duties & Responsibilities: Cash flow modeling in Excel incorporating various ADG loan structures and borrower projections Due diligence of clients including company and industry analysis Assisting in the preparation of internal credit memorandum Preparation of marketing materials for potential clients and other lenders Work as part of a Deal Team on live transactions, engaged in many aspects of credit underwriting and portfolio management, financial analysis, and credit memo preparation Participate in internal credit approval meetings and client/customer calls, as appropriate. Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events Position Specific Skills Partnerships and Collaboration Communication (Written and Verbal) Critical thinking skills Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and 1 years' experience Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during time of summer program) Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program Preferred Education GPA 3.0 or higher Three years of college experience (a rising senior) Major in finance, accounting, or economics Strong verbal and written communication skills Interest in aerospace, defense, and government financing Additional Information If hired in NY, the base pay for this position is generally between $22.44 and $26.30. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
