Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team. This position involves providing care in various settings, including Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, and Antepartum, as well as Normal Newborn care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing labor and delivery.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients in LDRP, L&D, PP, and Newborn care.
- Administer medications, including Blood/Blood Products, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate.
- Perform special procedures such as circulating in the OR, starting adult IVs, and operating Epidural and PCA pumps.
- Support both high-risk and low-risk antepartum and labor patients, ensuring optimal care.
- Participate in couplet care to support mother-newborn bonding.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, or related fields.
- Active compact nursing license is honored at all facilities.
- Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP. ACLS certification preferred.
- Skills: Ability to circulate, perform FHM, and start IVs is required.
Staffing Ratio
The typical staff-to-patient ratio for this role is 1:1 to 1:3.
Work Schedule
This position is for night shifts comprising 4 twelve-hour hours, from 19:00 to 07:30.
Additional Notes
Floating may be required as needed within the units.
