Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Summary:

Local Manufacturer near Brookfield, IL is currently seeking a CNC Mazak Machinist with Mill/ Tooling experience for our morning Shift with 3 years + experience within the precision machining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathe machines (Mazatrol programming)
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
• Perform machine setup including tooling installation, offsets, and adjustments
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Make program edits and offsets as needed to maintain tolerances
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform basic machine maintenance
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Document production and quality records as required

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience operating CNC lathes, preferably Mazak machines
• Experience with Mazatrol control programming
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Proficiency with measuring tools and inspection techniques

Work Environment

• Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to potentially hazardous machinery, loud noises, dust, mist, oils, and solvents.
