Joint, Coalition and Space Subject Matter Expert, Instructor

The Space Operations Directorate focuses on ensuring America’s security in space and partners highly respected subject‑matter experts with technologists to deliver game‑changing space solutions. Responsibilities Participates in the development of training plans and materials. Conducts on‑site and in‑residence training consisting of lectures and practical exercises in accordance with approved programs of instruction. Performs analysis of jobs and/or missions to create task lists used in the development of learning objectives, course content, and basis for learning. Identifies the student knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for the mission/job/task performance. Develops course learning objectives, test strategy, and test items, and determines instructional strategies, methods, and media. Designs and develops instructional material (training support packages or TSPs) and technical documentation. Ensures all necessary personnel, equipment, administrative material, and facilities are available for training implementation. Prepares and submits training plans and materials according to the Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) process. Conducts virtual and in‑residence training consisting of lectures and practical exercises for customers and/or company employees. Conducts formative, summative, and operational evaluations to generate metrics used to improve the training system quality. Required Skills Experience in Orbital Warfare or Space Domain Awareness missions. Experience with space domain related software such as ISSA, SPADOC, ASW, BMEWS. Experience working with Total Force personnel in training environments. Experience training enterprise mission‑focused software applications. Experience developing and leading in‑person classroom or group‑based training. Ability to adapt training plans and presentations based on class size and individual needs. Great interpersonal and communication skills with proven teamwork ability. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, flexible environment and able to learn new tools quickly. Excellent organization and planning skills. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally. U.S. citizen due to DoD contract. Ability to obtain a valid U.S. Passport. Active Secret clearance with DCID 6/4 eligibility and ability to obtain Top Secret SCI. Desired Skills Experience training technical disciplines to military personnel. Effectively leading teams in fast‑paced, dynamic mission‑focused environments. Experience with Camtasia, Snagit, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Captivate, Oxygen XML Editor, and other e‑Learning development tools. Understanding of orbital mechanics and data analysis. Experience in an Agile Software Development environment. Experience training U.S., Coalition, and Joint military operators and analysts. Experience integrating multiple intelligence disciplines across air, cyberspace, land, maritime, and space domains. Space/Air Force experience in one or more of the following areas: Information Warfare Spectrum Management Collection Management Joint Commercial Office Mission Planning and exercise planning or execution in space integration Intelligence (National Reconnaissance Organization, National Geospatial‑Intelligence Agency, or National Space Intelligence Center) Communications SATVUL Air/Missile Defense Security Clearance Requirement An active Secret security clearance is required for this position. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range: $88,400.00 – $154,700.00 Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays.
