Part-Time Housekeeper / Family Assistant – Coral Gables, FL
A warm and welcoming family in Coral Gables is seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to help maintain their 9,000 square foot residence and support daily household operations. There are no children or pets in the home.
Schedule / Compensation
- 9am - 2pm Monday–Friday
- Flexibility to work additional hours when the family is hosting guests is appreciated
- $38 - $40/hour DOE
Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Home Maintenance
- General cleaning and upkeep of the home's interior
- Cleaning and maintaining the outdoor terrace/patio, including outdoor furniture, cushions, and outdoor kitchen area
- Cleaning windows and vehicles as needed
- Emptying trash and recycling
Laundry & Organization
- Laundry, ironing, folding, and proper garment care
- Changing and making beds
- Organizing closets and household storage areas
- Keeping the kitchen, pantry, refrigerator, laundry room, and cleaning supplies neatly organized
Plant Care
- Watering orchids and providing basic care for indoor plants
Meal Preparation
- Preparing simple, healthy meals 2–3 times per week
- Chopping and preparing ingredients
- Properly storing leftovers and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
Household Support
- Grocery shopping and maintaining household inventory
- Monitoring and notifying the family when household or cleaning supplies need replenishing
- Running occasional household-related errands, as agreed upon in advance
Ideal Candidate
- Previous housekeeping experience in a private home
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Trustworthy, dependable, and proactive
- Comfortable with light meal preparation
- Flexible and willing to assist with additional hours during special occasions or guest visits
