Press Brake Operator
Location: Hendersonville, NC Pay: $20.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Shift: 1st Shift | Monday Thursday | 6:00 AM 4:30 PM
Job Summary
Friday Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for a full-time opportunity in Hendersonville, NC. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to fabricate precision metal components according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate has experience in metal fabrication, can read blueprints, and is committed to producing high-quality work in a safe, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal components according to blueprints and production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Install, align, and adjust tooling, including punches and dies.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections.
- Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency and product quality.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Identify and report equipment issues or production concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
- 23 years of press brake operating experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and tape measures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC press brakes.
- Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Previous fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing experience
Work Environment
Clean, fast-paced metal fabrication facility.
Team-oriented environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
