AFSCME - FT Flint, MI, US Salary Range: $20.4563 to $27.1746 Hourly $3000 Signing Bonus General Statement of Duties Under the direction of the Program Supervisor or designee, the Community Health Worker works as an integral member of behavioral/mental health programs within Genesee Health System. Work occurs in a variety of venues and locations, including but not limited to schools, healthcare facilities, community agencies, group and individual settings, community events, and canvasing. This individual will use the Community Health Worker model, as well as other evidence‑based crisis and trauma support methods. Provides education, training, and support to children and families as well as makes referrals for other needed services and supports. Work regular schedule with some night and weekend hours. Minimum Requirements Completed at least 25 semester hours of college in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, Human Development or related fields or holds a current Registered Behavior Technician credential in good standing with the BACB (must submit proof of credential). Additional Requirements During the first 6 months of employment, Must successfully complete the online College of Applied Human Services ABA Fundamental course (30 hours) as provided by the agency or produce documentation of current RBT credential to maintain employment. Must have a valid driver’s license, current insurance, and use of a vehicle during working hours. Ability to physically perform the tasks. A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, Human Development or related fields or currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program with the above credits completed.
