Field Maintenance Specialist –Charleston, West Virginia (Traveling Role)

AGC Heat Transfer, the leading manufacturer of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, is seeking a Field Maintenance Specialist to support customers across the U.S. We are looking for a skilled, customer‑driven Field Maintenance Specialist based in Charleston, West Virginia . This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy hands‑on work, travel, and direct customer interaction.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform Plate Check™ and tubular heat exchanger inspections

• Execute repairs, troubleshooting, and installation supervision

• Conduct on‑site customer training

• Travel >15 days/month (including some weekends)

• Maintain detailed plant folders, documentation, and follow‑up communication

• Collaborate with AGC Sales Engineers on upcoming service needs

• Submit accurate service reports within 48 hours

• Mentor new technicians as needed

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience as a traveling technician

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong mechanical aptitude and tool experience

• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills

• Proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Experience

• Maintenance background

• Dairy/food manufacturing experience

• Plate heat exchanger knowledge

• Military service
