The Heavy Duty Tire Technician is responsible for performing inspection, repair, and replacement of tires on heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, buses, and commercial fleets. This role requires ensuring that tires are properly balanced, mounted, and inflated while maintaining a high standard of safety and service. The technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing essential tire services to commercial vehicles and ensuring optimal performance for clients. Candidates must have a modern smartphone with an active internet connection to efficiently manage orders and assignments through the company app. Proficiency in navigating mobile applications, digital platforms, and app-based workflows is essential for seamless task execution and communication. Compensation ranges from $37,440 to $66,560 per year, based on experience and availability. Job Specifics Perform thorough inspections of tires on heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks, buses, and commercial fleets. Repair and replace tires, ensuring accurate balancing and mounting of large tires. Patch leaks, repair punctures, and verify tire inflation levels. Follow established safety standards and guidelines while working with heavy-duty equipment and tools. Document services provided, including tire condition and repairs, ensuring accurate service records. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. Work with mounting equipment and assist in fleet tire management. Qualifications and Experience Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Certification in heavy-duty tire repair or related fields is a plus. Experience Previous experience with heavy-duty tire repair is essential. Familiarity with tire safety standards and tire mounting equipment. 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty tire repair. CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.
