Welder

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled welder with 35 years of experience in metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding processes shop drawings and safety practices. This role involves performing high-quality welds on various materials including steel stainless steel and aluminum.

Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints shop drawings and welding symbols
• Perform MIG TIG and Stick welding as required
• Fabricate assemble and weld metal components according to specifications
• Set up and operate welding equipment and fabrication machinery
• Inspect completed welds and structures to ensure quality and compliance
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines
• Follow all company safety guidelines and OSHA regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• 35 years of hands-on welding experience in a fabrication environment
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding (Stick welding is a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols
• Strong knowledge of metal types thicknesses and behavior under heat
• Familiarity with grinders torches plasma cutters and other tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• AWS Certification preferred but not required
• High school diploma or GED required trade school or vocational training a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
• Stand bend kneel and work in various positions throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to heat sparks and metal particles

Schedule:

• 6am-2:30pm; Monday - Friday
• Overtime as needed
