Kaman & Cusimano, a law firm focused on representing condominium and homeowners associations, is seeking a Legal Assistant for our Appleton office. This position offers meaningful client contact, hands-on support for attorneys, and opportunities for long-term professional growth in community association law. Our Legal Assistants work closely with clients, attorneys, and colleagues across the Firm. Job Duties:

• Assist with litigation based matters, including contractor disputes, insurance issues, construction defects, and covenant violations, including assisting with pleadings and discovery.
• Proofread, format, revise, and finalize attorney-client privileged correspondence
• Timely and effectively manage calendar and billing for attorneys this position will support
• Assist attorneys in all stages of legal work, including reviewing and finalizing documents, preparing exhibits, and organizing matter files.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions.
• Organize and maintain electronic files, ensuring all data is properly labeled and stored.
• File documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Optimum Skills:

• Excellent personal skills
• Must be available weekdays between 8:00am - 5:00pm for in-office work. An occasional weeknight or weekend may be required.
• Prior office related work experience required
• Must demonstrate dedication and hard work
• High school diploma required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Must contain excellent skills of full Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Ability to work high volume under pressure while still demonstrating excellent personal skills
