Veterinary Technician - Emergency

Description Metropolitan Animal Emergency & Specialty Center is looking for full-time Veterinary Technicians to join our Dayshift Emergency team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Rockville, MD. About You You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by delivering exceptional care to patients in our dynamic Emergency Department. Your life-changing work will range from triaging urgent cases and performing diagnostic testing to monitoring critical patients, supporting treatments and procedures, and guiding clients through every step of their pet's emergency visit. Your Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care) CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred Experience in an Emergency Veterinary Setting strongly preferred Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care) Possesses a positive work attitude Self-motivated Excellent communication and organization skills You’ll Grow With Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $27 – $30/ hour.
