Mitigation Technician

Overview Arrow Service Team is seeking a full-time Mitigation Technician in Dickinson, ND. We are a disaster restoration company serving North Dakota, focused on water, fire, storms, and other disasters, delivering extraordinary care while supporting customers in their time of need. We offer opportunities for career growth and advancement within the department and the company. Responsibilities Receive and review work/job orders each day. Ensure the work vehicle is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment for the day. Identify and stop the water source. Perform water extraction. Set up air movers, drying equipment, dehumidifiers, and any specialty equipment. Move personal property to prevent further damage. Demolition – removal and disposal of wet/damaged building materials. Gather samples (carpet, carpet pad, baseboard, casing, flooring, drywall, paint, etc.). Document damage with photographs (pre-existing damage, pre and post work), moisture meter readings, scoping, etc. Obtain drying authorization and collect deposits. Complete final job walk and cleanup, checking for nails, screws, staples, and forgotten samples. Maintain and clean equipment. Qualifications Experience in mitigation, carpet cleaning, or restoration is preferred but not required; willing to train the right person. Experience working from a work van or box truck is a plus. Effective and professional communication with teammates and management. Excellent customer service with the ability to show empathy. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Basic math skills. Physical Demands Lift 5-15 lbs constantly; 15-50 lbs frequently. Significant standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. Occasional climbing (ladders), balancing, crouching, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling. Ability to work in confined spaces. Exposure to weather with temperatures ranging from mild to moderate cold/heat. Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud. Pay Starting wage negotiable based on experience, skillset, industry knowledge, and ability (DOE). Increased hourly wage (hazard pay) based on job classification and PPE requirements (e.g., mold, trauma, sewage). 90-day review with potential wage adjustment; annual reviews thereafter. On-call emergency after-hours pay (time and a half, availability bonus, and per site visit bonus) once eligible. Eligible for overtime pay. Occasional overnight stays with hotel and per diem provided. Rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies. Education High school diploma or equivalent. License/Certification Valid and current Driver’s License and legal ability to drive. Reliable transportation to and from the office/shop.
