Traffic Project EngineerAre we the road to your future?We are currently searching for an experienced Traffic Project Engineer to support our Southwest Region located in either Austin, Round Rock, or San Antonio, TX.The successful candidate will work on challenging transportation design projects providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance with locality and state DOT standards. The candidate will serve as Task Manager and collaborate with multidisciplinary team and provide guidance and direction to project team for various traffic design tasks on roadway, bridge and interchange improvements, intersection modifications and pedestrian/bike facilities projects. This position offers an excellent career opportunity with tremendous growth potential.What you'll be doing:Prepare traffic signal design plans for new intersections and signal modifications to facilitate multimodal accommodationsPrepare temporary traffic control plan/traffic management plan (TMP) and signing, pavement marking plansPrepare streetlight design plan and perform photometric analysis using Agi32Prepare technical reports for IJR/IMR, and traffic/safety/road diet studiesPrepare Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) design plansPrepare quantities and develop PS&E packages supporting highway design projectsAssist in preparing conceptual intersection layouts, schematics, signal timings and engineering reportsSupervise and mentor junior engineersAttend project meetings with clientsWhat you need to have:BS in Civil Engineering5-10 years of traffic engineering experienceEIT is requiredProficiency in OpenRoadsFamiliarity with TxDOT and/or general DOT traffic design standards, MUTCD and AASHTOProficiency in traffic analyses software such as VISSIM, Synchro/Simtraffic, Sidra Intersection, HCSAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
