This role is ideal for an RN with strong acute care experience who enjoys helping patients regain independence while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Unit Highlights 23-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6–7 Traveler-friendly team and supportive culture First-time travelers considered with manager approval Patient Population Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) Stroke (CVA) Multi-trauma patients Burn patients Adult amputees High-acuity rehabilitation patients Note: Travelers are not expected to care for pediatric patients. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care for complex rehabilitation patients. Perform neurological and respiratory assessments. Manage tracheostomies, ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and pulmonary patients. Care for patients with PICC lines, central lines, IV therapy, and TPN. Provide wound care and manage surgical drains and tubes. Manage G-tubes and PEG tube feedings. Collaborate with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and interdisciplinary teams. Educate patients and families throughout the recovery process. Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience . Current BLS certification. Current NIHSS certification. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
