Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:
- Audit and Review Engagements (55-60%)
- Prepare audit and review workpapers, schedules, reconciliations. and analysis
- Interact with clients to obtain information and address follow-up questions.
- Contribute to adherence of timelines for successful engagement completion.
- Tax return preparation and reviews (25-30%)
- Prepare and review tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations,
- Assist with tax research and analysis, providing documentation and insights to support decision-making and resolve complex issues.
- Support adherence to timelines and deadlines to ensure the timely completion.
- Other Accounting Functions (Balance of Time)
- Review bookkeeping records and support the preparation of journal entries."
- Surprise exams of registered investment advisors
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial tasks as assigned
- Two to three years in CPA profession; private experience a plus.
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience with current computer tax software, Lacerte a plus.
- Ability to utilize QuickBooks (desktop and online) and Excel for financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation"
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
