We are currently hiring Maintenance Technicians for a client in the Lithia Springs, GA area. This role handles all repairs and preventative maintenance on facility and production equipment, ensuring the production team has no equipment-related barriers and coordinating contractors for scheduled service. We are currently hiring Maintenance Technicians for a client in the Lithia Springs, GA area. This role handles all repairs and preventative maintenance on facility and production equipment, ensuring the production team has no equipment-related barriers and coordinating contractors for scheduled service. Responsibilities
- Complete all maintenance work in accordance with facility safety and food safety policies
- Conduct emergency repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment (conveyors, vibratory fillers, flow wrappers, etc.); document all work orders in the CMMS
- Coordinate emergency repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance on the facility (dock doors and levelers, HVAC, plumbing, etc.); document all work orders in the CMMS
- Service and maintain production equipment, including motors, conveyors, vibratory fillers, tub washer, and flow wrapper
- Install new production equipment as needed
- Provide guidance and training to machine operators to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
- Read and interpret equipment manuals to troubleshoot and assess equipment functionality
- Oversee contractors completing facility repairs (air compressor, hot water heater, fire suppression system)
- Maintain compliance-related equipment records (pH probes, condenser water treatment, ammonia sensors)
- Keep the maintenance shop organized and audit-ready, including proper storage of flammable lubricants and safety equipment
- Prioritize and manage work orders to minimize production downtime, communicating progress and completion timelines to management
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools and precision measuring equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring repairs/installations, AC/DC controls, and schematic diagrams
- PIT and scissor lift OSHA certification
- Solid computer skills with the ability to input/export information into a CMMS
- Food manufacturing background
- 2+ years of electrical or programming experience
