**Production Preventive Maintenance Technician **

Location: St. Marys, OH

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: Starting at $26.98 per hour , with higher compensation based on experience

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Preventive Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations by maintaining equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring production goals are met. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and working closely with production teams to maximize equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Reliability

• Implement and maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance activities performed on equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Develop, maintain, and improve preventive maintenance programs utilizing the 5W1H methodology .
• Create and update PM documentation, including:
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, calibration, adjustments, repairs, programming, and parts replacement to prevent equipment failures and production downtime.
• Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Production & Maintenance Support

• Communicate effectively with production teams, maintenance personnel, and leadership regarding equipment status and maintenance needs.
• Assist in planning and coordinating plant shutdown maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Supervisors, and external vendors to improve equipment design, performance, and reliability.
• May perform machine setup and operation of production equipment as needed.
• Support department goals related to safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by department leadership.

Leadership & Team Support

• Assist Group Leaders with training and mentoring team members.
• Communicate important safety, quality, and production information between shifts and departments.
• Help foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) .
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
• Visual ability, including color discrimination.

Preferred

• One (1) or more years of experience working with mechanical equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• One (1) or more years of departmental or production maintenance experience.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word .
• Experience with robotics, machine adjustments, calibration, and industrial equipment repair.
