The North Carolina Courage (NWSL) is seeking Street Team Brand Ambassadors to join the Marketing Department in executing external marketing events, select game days, grassroots activations, and community programming. This dynamic role offers hands-on experience in sports marketing, events, and grassroots engagement. Successful candidates will help create memorable experiences for fans and prospective fans while serving as an enthusiastic and authentic ambassador for the North Carolina Courage and our brand throughout the community. As a Street Team Brand Ambassador, you will be an extension of the Courage brand both at events and in the community. In addition to representing the club at activations, ambassadors may have opportunities to grow their role as Courage brand ambassadors and micro-influencers, helping amplify the club, promote upcoming matches and events, and create authentic connections with fans through their own networks and social platforms. As a member of our Club, you will contribute to The Place to Be, a brand built around creating bold, fearless, and exceptional experiences where everyone can belong and believe. Key Responsibilities

• Represent NC Courage at community events, festivals, soccer tournaments, grassroots marketing activations, and select game days.
• Serve as an enthusiastic, authentic, and knowledgeable brand ambassador for the NC Courage, creating positive interactions that build awareness, connection, and interest in the club.
• Engage fans and prospective ticket buyers in a positive, professional, and high-energy manner.
• Promote upcoming matches, distribute promotional materials, and provide information about the team, schedule, ticketing opportunities, and club initiatives.
• Execute event activations, including lead generation, data capture, giveaways, interactive experiences, and fan engagement activities.
• Help transform event interactions into meaningful fan connections by encouraging participation, conversation, and follow-up.
• Represent the Courage brand consistently across all activations and ensure the execution of event experiences aligns with the event brief and brand standards.
• Support the transportation, setup, and breakdown of event activations and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory of promotional items, giveaways, and event materials.
• Submit thorough event recaps, including feedback, photos, fan insights, and recommendations for improvement.
• Drive data capture and lead collection at events to support marketing, ticketing, and fan engagement objectives.
• Serve as a potential Courage micro-influencer, helping amplify club content, promotions, events, and community initiatives through personal social networks and authentic word-of-mouth.
• Create or participate in social content tied to select activations, matchdays, community events, and club initiatives, when appropriate.
• Help extend the reach of Courage marketing efforts beyond the physical activation by sharing event experiences and encouraging friends, followers, and community members to engage with the club.
• Maintain a high level of enthusiasm, teamwork, creativity, and professionalism at every activation.
• Assist with mascot appearances and game activations, including Kids Club and other family-focused experiences.
• Assist with soccer clinics and community youth programming, as opportunities arise.
• Assist on select game days with fan experiences such as photo booths, Kids Club, giveaways, and other in-stadium activations.
• Additional qualifications may be required to assist with certain community programming.

Qualifications

• Passion for sports, soccer, and a strong interest in community engagement, events, marketing, or fan experiences.
• Outgoing, personable, and comfortable being the face of a brand in public settings and on social media.
• Must be available to work at least 75% of grassroots marketing events, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Interest in becoming a Courage brand ambassador and micro-influencer and willingness to authentically represent the club both in person and through social platforms.
• Comfortable creating or sharing social content and engaging with an online community is preferred.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in sports management, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service, event operations, sports marketing, social media, or community engagement is a plus but not required.
• Experience engaging with customers, fans, or individuals in a community setting.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience with soccer, such as playing, coaching, or working with youth soccer teams, is welcomed for community programming aspects but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival at events and other work-related commitments, including transporting promotional materials to external locations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
