Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

$1689.12/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac step-down patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Ensure patient safety, administer treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote recovery.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips, ensuring accurate documentation.
  
  
• 
  Perform procedures such as chest tube management, wound vac care, and EKGs ad lib.
  
  
• 
  Document telemetry application and rhythm strips per unit policy each shift.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with PCTs and other staff to meet patient needs and ensure quality care.
  
  
• 
  Comply with unit guidelines, dress code, and safety protocols, including no artificial nails and proper alarm acknowledgment.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid RN license and at least 2 years of recent PCU or cardiac step-down experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate knowledge of telemetry monitoring and cardiac medication administration.
  
  
• 
  Ability to perform procedures such as chest tube management and EKG interpretation.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nursing and medical staff.
