Avionics Technician III

Introduction We are looking for an Avionics Technician III to perform routine inspections, repairs and alterations on a variety of aircraft. About the Role Effectively perform all task outlined under Avionics Technician I & II as well as the following: Perform avionics installations to include troubleshooting and repairs of newly installed and existing avionics and airframe electrical systems within assigned goal times. Perform aircraft test flights and in-air troubleshooting of avionics components. Demonstrates ability to inspect wire installations with no supervision. Demonstrates ability to perform aircraft avionics ground checks with no supervision (Pre-install/Post install) Provide training to Avionics Technician I & II's Effectively lead major avionics projects and assigned techs to an on time and on goal hour completion. Provide schedule updates to the Avionics Supervisor and/or General Manager to ensure master schedule is accurate. Maintain a supervisor evaluated goal hour productivity rating of 90% or higher . Demonstrate Thorough knowledge of FAA AC43.13-1B: Chapter 7 Aircraft Hardware, Control Cables, and Turnbuckles Chapter 10 Weight and Balance Demonstrate General knowledge of FAA AC43.13-1B: Chapter 9 Aircraft Systems and Component Pay Range Pay Range: $34-$44/hour, depending on experience All pay is negotiable, depending on experience Relocation/ Sign on Bonus opportunities available Blackhawk Benefits In addition to a competitive salary, The Blackhawk Group offers a full suite of employee benefits including Healthcare, Vision, and Dental insurance Life and Disability insurance 401k plan with Company match Paid Time Off and company-paid holidays Requirements Thorough knowledge of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145 with Quality system experience preferred Minimum of three years avionics modifications experience required and or documented previous work experience fulfilling the primary duties.
