CGP: Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $35.00 to $38.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support construction and project accounting activities by tracking costs, budgets, financial transactions, and project related reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to assist with month end and year end close processes.
• Monitor project expenditures, review invoices, and analyze financial activity to ensure accurate accounting records.
• Assist with financial reporting, cash flow tracking, budget monitoring, and various operational accounting functions.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, property management, and project teams while supporting audits and special projects.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience in a professional business environment.
• Previous experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and close procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with real estate, construction, project accounting, or property related financial activities.
• Familiarity with accounting systems used for project tracking and financial management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Self motivated and adaptable professional with a strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and commitment to accuracy.
