Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Pay Range: $10.85 – $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Process buy online/ship to store, hub‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and handle returned merchandise in the returns area correctly. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure team members comply with company policies: adhere to posted work schedules, obtain approval for changes/deviations from a member of management, and clock in/out correctly. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform any other duties as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
