Network Engineer (DWDM) - Internet Service Provider

Responsibilities: Plan, implement and operate connectivity solutions for data centre customers, including IP backbone products and tailored DWDM interconnect solutions Support 2nd-level operations and customer request handling, including participation in on-call rotation Contribute to design, concept development, and ongoing evolution of the existing network infrastructure Produce product and operational documentation to ensure stable, secure operation Work closely with sales to provide technical consultancy to customers, developing solutions and implementing them cross-functionally Skills/Must Have: Completed degree, ideally with a focus on information technology, or comparable vocational training At least 5 years of relevant professional experience Strong knowledge of modern network technologies Experience with IP technologies including IPv6 Specialisation in planning and operating DWDM networks (1G-800G) and associated management systems Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems Fluent German (written and spoken) Experience with Adtran FSP3000 platforms Experience with other DWDM platforms Experience with Juniper MX, PTX, QFX and EX platforms Programming experience (e.g. Python, Go) Involvement in a network community (e.g. DENOG) Salary: €65,000-€70,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited
