Upgrade IT Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and cloud-native SaaS platforms. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on defining architectural standards, guiding engineering teams, and delivering high-quality solutions using modern .NET technologies, distributed systems, and cloud-native patterns. Responsibilities Design and evolve scalable, secure, and highly available SaaS applications using C#, .NET, and cloud-native architectures. Define technical architecture and engineering standards across multiple products and teams. Lead the adoption of microservices, domain-driven design (DDD), CQRS, event-driven systems, and API-first approaches. Partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and fellow Architects to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions. Mentor senior engineers and provide technical guidance on architecture, design decisions, and implementation strategies. Drive improvements in system performance, scalability, observability, and security. Promote engineering best practices, including code quality, automated testing, and operational excellence. Champion AI-assisted software development by integrating modern AI tools and workflows into everyday engineering practices. Qualifications and Job Requirements 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years as a Software Architect, Principal Engineer, or technical leader. Try Cloud Tools Expert-level experience with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and Angular (v16+). Strong experience designing enterprise SaaS platforms using microservices, DDD, CQRS, and event-driven architectures. Hands-on experience with AWS (preferred) or Azure and cloud-native application design. Solid knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases (DocumentDB is a plus). Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions across teams. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Daily experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to improve engineering productivity. Familiarity with modern AI concepts and workflows, including LLMs, RAG, MCP, and agentic development practices. Nice to have Experience with GraphQL APIs. Learn to Code Kubernetes and container orchestration. Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. Observability platforms including CloudWatch, Datadog, or New Relic.
