Work Shift Night (United States of America) Job Summary Wellstar North Fulton Hospital has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care - Cardiac Telemetry, Cath Lab Recovery – Full‑Time Night Shift Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence‑based practice and analytical/critical thinking to provide individualized care and coordinate partnership with patients and families. Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care reflective of cultural diversity, adapting service delivery to meet population‑specific characteristics such as age, gender, and disease. Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods for communication, including bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and scheduled teaching, keeping patients’ goals the focus of the plan of care. Practice current clinical standards and promote teamwork and collaboration through safe, quality patient care documentation and respectful, inclusive communication. Support performance improvement initiatives, research utilization, and shared governance at all system levels. Complete professional competency assessment, mandatory education, and population‑specific education; serve as a preceptor or mentor to other nurses and allied staff to build a qualified workforce. Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement; participate in value analysis and data collection to address clinical questions. Plan and deliver care across the continuum, participate in protocol development, and support efficient use of human and material resources. Perform other duties as assigned while complying with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education Associate’s Degree in nursing or graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) RN – Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT – RN – Multi‑state Compact BLS – Basic Life Support or BLS‑I – Basic Life Support Instructor Additional License(s) and Certification(s) All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. Required Minimum Experience Minimum 5 years RN experience required; direct patient care experience preferred. Required Minimum Skills Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills. Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies.
