About the Role
The Company is in search of a President and Chief Executive Officer to lead its independent 501(c)(3) organization. The successful candidate will be a strategic and mission-driven executive, responsible for providing enterprise-level leadership in philanthropic strategy, governance, operations, financial stewardship, and long-term organizational growth. This role is pivotal in supporting the academic and research ambitions of the university, and the ideal leader will work closely with the Foundation Board of Directors, the University President, senior University leadership, alumni, donors, and community partners to deepen the organization's impact and shape the future of private support. Applicants for the President and CEO position at the company should be prepared to engage in a collaborative and visionary leadership style. The role demands a leader who can build on the Foundation's record-setting success, strengthen its infrastructure, and secure the philanthropic support and strategic partnerships necessary for the university's continued growth. The candidate must have a proven track record in a similar executive role, with a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape and a commitment to the mission of the organization. Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills are essential, as is the ability to inspire and mobilize a diverse range of stakeholders. A background in higher education or a related field is preferred, and the ability to navigate the complexities of a dynamic public urban research environment is a key requirement.
