Rydges Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team as a full-time telehealth provider. This role requires a compassionate professional with expertise in treating mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, to support our clients through tailored therapeutic approaches. The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

This remote role allows for a flexible work environment that is conducive to both personal well-being and professional engagement. Our telehealth setting provides you with the tools and capabilities to conduct assessments and therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while still remaining an integral part of our supportive team culture. We prioritize work-life balance through a structured schedule that entails working Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms, their severity, frequency, and impact on daily life.
• Collaborate with clients in developing customized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and preferences, ensuring their active participation in the therapeutic process.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client growth and recovery.
• Provide educational support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, integrated care to clients.
• Remain informed about the latest research in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards for all client interactions and treatments.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to continuously enhance clinical skills.
• Serve as a mental health advocate for clients, promoting awareness and reducing the stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults struggling with a variety of mood disorders, providing targeted interventions for individuals coping with challenges like depression, anxiety-related disorders, and bipolar disorder. With a commitment to honoring diversity, you will engage with clients from various backgrounds, ensuring all feel seen, heard, and respected during their journey to mental wellness.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, especially CBT and DBT.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
• Track Record: A proven history of successful outcomes in treating mood disorders and effectively supporting clients through evidence-based practices.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish rapport and engage meaningfully with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a telehealth setting, utilizing digital tools effectively to conduct therapy sessions.
• Familiarity with additional therapeutic modalities, particularly mindfulness and stress management techniques, is a plus.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or mental health advocacy initiatives will be considered an advantage.
