Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for surgical patients using the nursing process and established standards of care
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with multidisciplinary team
- Collect and analyze assessment data, develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and patient education for patients and families
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team; provide learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members
- Maintain a safe, healing environment and communicate with the treatment team to support optimal patient outcomes

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- Minimum two years of recent OR or acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification required; CPR may be acceptable per policy
- ACLS (AHA) or ARC-ALS and PALS (AHA) or ARC-PALS certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Da Vinci (robotic surgery) experience required
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work in a high-stakes OR environment; flexible to the assignment’s schedule and call requirements
