Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Location

Winchester, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday for night shift) | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included in expected hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide progressive care nursing to a patient population in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–5
• Must be able to titrate vasopressors (pressors) — this is a firm clinical requirement
• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed; floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during shift
• Accurately document patient care and clinical assessments using Epic EMR
• Complete day-one pass/fail competency testing upon orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Demonstrated ability to titrate vasopressors/pressors
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Candidates with no prior travel nursing experience must have Level 1 trauma experience
• Must have been separated from the affiliated health system for a minimum of 6 months (permanent, per diem, or contract) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred for all candidates
• Prior travel nursing experience in a progressive care or stepdown setting
