The role focuses on verifying medical eligibility, securing authorizations, and processing claims for medical equipment.Key responsibilities include:Eligibility & Authorization: Verify medical eligibility, benefit coverage, and authorization requirements via phone, fax, email, or online portals.Claims Processing: Process medical files and claims within strict deadlines.Carrier & Patient Contact: Coordinate with Work Comp carriers, hospitals, and patients to obtain required billing information.Record Keeping: Ensure compliance and accuracy of invoices, track purchase orders, and utilize Microsoft Excel for billing and contract spreadsheets.Position requirements include:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience: 1–2 years of medical billing experience preferred.Skills: Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute (WPM), strong attention to detail, and Microsoft Office proficiency.Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.Compensation & Benefits:Base Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hourBonuses: Potential to earn $0 - $1,000 in production bonuses and $0 - $1,000 in profit bonuses per month.Benefits: Comprehensive healthcare, dental coverage, and robust Paid Time Off (PTO) with up to 10 paid holidaysAll compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
