Pay range: $40 45/hr on W2

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Project Manager / Process Engineer to support the Senior Project Manager in the execution of process engineering and capital projects. The role will be responsible for project planning, scope development, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in process design, process optimization, capital project execution, commissioning, and project management , along with the ability to develop technical scopes, project plans, business cases, and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Senior Project Manager in the execution of process engineering and capital projects from planning through commissioning.

• Develop and define project charters, scopes of work, technical requirements, and project deliverables .

• Support procurement, fabrication, installation, startup, and commissioning activities.

• Lead meetings, workshops, and discussions with site, engineering, business, and global stakeholders to understand project requirements.

• Develop and manage project schedules, tasks, resources, budgets, risks, and deliverables .

• Develop technical Statements of Work (SOWs) and support RFP development, resource planning, and project estimates.

• Conduct risk assessments and track mitigation actions through project completion.

• Develop preliminary and detailed execution plans for projects and scope-of-work delivery.

• Coordinate with contractors and engineering resources throughout project execution.

• Lead project steering committee meetings and provide regular project status reports.

• Partner with Finance and other stakeholders to develop project business cases and financial justifications .

• Monitor project KPIs, including cost savings, equipment efficiency, operating expenses, capital expenditures, sustainability, and alignment with business strategy.

• Collaborate with Site and Global Leadership to ensure project objectives and metrics align with business and client requirements.

• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Support startup, commissioning, installation, and successful handover of completed projects.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience in Process Engineering and Capital Project Management .

• Strong experience in process design, process optimization, installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting .

• Proficiency in developing and interpreting Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) .

• Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and process equipment .

• Experience implementing process improvements that improve performance and reduce operational costs.

• Experience with project planning, resource management, risk management, and project execution .

• Experience developing technical SOWs, project scopes, RFP requirements, and project estimates.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience working with contractors, engineering teams, site leadership, and global stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of project KPIs, cost management, and business-case development.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering background.

• Experience with large-scale capital projects and manufacturing/process environments.

• Experience with project procurement, fabrication, installation, startup, and commissioning.

• Strong problem-solving, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
