Landscape Foreman Location: Based out of Canonsburg, PA (Projects throughout Greater Pittsburgh) Schedule Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (weather dependent) Winter work includes snow plowing, ice management, early mornings, nights, weekends, and on-call rotation Reports To: Production Manager Position Overview Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL) is hiring a Landscape Foreman to lead and develop field crews across landscaping and snow operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for executing high‑quality work while managing crews, equipment, and job site performance. You’ll oversee day‑to‑day operations on residential and commercial properties, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to spec. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can maintain production pace, uphold quality standards, and take ownership of their job sites. Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership & Job Execution Lead, supervise, and develop a crew of 2–5 team members Assign daily tasks, set expectations, and ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly Train and mentor crew members on proper landscaping techniques and safety practices Maintain crew accountability for productivity, quality, and professionalism Landscaping Operations Oversee and perform landscaping work including planting, mulching, pruning, grading, and installations Ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations Read and execute job plans, layouts, and scopes of work Equipment & Site Management Operate and oversee use of equipment (skid steers, mowers, plows, spreaders, etc.) Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure proper maintenance and care Manage materials, tools, and site organization for efficient workflow Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites at all times Snow & Winter Operations Lead snow removal operations including plowing, salting, and shoveling Coordinate crew response during winter events, including on‑call coverage Ensure sites are safe, accessible, and serviced in a timely manner Safety & Compliance Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA standards Conduct daily tailgate safety talks and hazard assessments Ensure proper PPE is worn and safety protocols are followed at all times Communication & Reporting Communicate daily with Production Manager on job progress, challenges, and needs Track production, labor hours, and job performance Address issues proactively to keep projects on schedule Qualifications 2+ years of landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience required 1+ year of leadership or crew lead/foreman experience preferred Experience operating skid steers, mowers, plows, and similar equipment Snow removal experience strongly preferred Ability to read plans and execute work independently Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year‑round Reliable transportation required Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor Safety & PPE Requirements Steel/composite‑toed boots are always required Gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection as needed Long pants and appropriate work attire required Must follow all company and OSHA safety standards Report hazards immediately and participate in safety meetings Core Competencies Leadership & Accountability Team Development Safety‑First Mindset Strong Work Ethic Attention to Detail Adaptability in Changing Conditions Communication & Problem Solving Why Join Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL) At GSL, we don’t just complete projects — we build teams and careers.
