Job Opportunity – Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – North Carolina

Schedule: Monday through Thursday (8-hour shifts) plus Friday (half day). Full-time outpatient position seeing 12-15 patients per day. Adult patient population.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies
• Valid North Carolina RN with NP license OR valid North Carolina PA license
• Board certification required (ANCC, NCC, AMCB, AANP, PNCB for NPs; NCCPA for PAs)
• Active DEA license
• BLS (CPR) certification through American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
• Recent experience with HIV patients required; must be comfortable managing this patient population
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and review medical histories
• Interpret diagnostic tests and provide evidence-based treatment plans
• Perform preventive health screenings tailored to individual patient needs
• Educate patients and families about infectious disease conditions, treatment options, and follow-up care
• Perform office-based specialty care procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records across all care settings
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
