Auditor/Management Analyst

Position Overview This position is located in the Audits and Evaluations Division. The supervisor is the Assistant Inspector General for Audits. It is a non‑bargaining unit and may require occasional ( Qualifications Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, or hold a bachelor’s degree. Desired Experience and Skills Ability to conduct performance, information technology, contract, and/or financial audits or evaluate federal programs (including research, data gathering, analysis, and problem resolution). Demonstrated experience using federal auditing standards, methodologies, techniques, and procedures (including research, data analysis, and drawing conclusions). Strong communication skills for presenting analysis results and solutions, both orally and in writing, tailored to the audience. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, agency officials, and others, using tact, diplomacy, and negotiation to achieve cooperation and consensus. Proficiency in collecting and analyzing data using data analysis software. Ensure audit work (planning, performing, and reporting) meets the requirements of Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS).
