Job Overview Intel’s Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) Module Engineer will play a central role in ensuring robust, manufacturable process modules in a 300mm tool environment. The role focuses on tool ownership, safety, cleanliness, tool availability, and continuous improvement to support high‑volume manufacturing goals. Responsibilities Own all aspects of one or more 300mm toolsets, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and copy‑exactness of your toolset. Review control charts and tool output daily to maintain excision‑free toolsets. Deliver Model of Record (MOR) availability and achieve 100% matching for all relevant operations. Drive continuous improvement of tool health and matching by maintaining and executing an improvement roadmap. Lead tools to record availability, cycle time, and low defect densities aligned with OTF factory goals. Support new technology start‑ups with tool installations, conversions, and qualifications. Define roadmaps, establish flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for new technology processes. Select and develop materials and equipment to meet quality, yield, reliability, cost, productivity, and manufacturability requirements. Plan and conduct experiments to fully characterize processes throughout the development cycle. Drive improvements on quality, yield, reliability, process stability, productivity, and safety/ergonomic variables. Develop solutions to problems using formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem‑solving tools. Establish process control systems and sustain the module through volume ramp. Develop strategies to resolve difficult problems and establish systems to handle future issues. Train production/receiving process engineers for transfer to other factories. Transfer process to high‑volume manufacturing and support new factory start‑up, including installation and qualification of new production lines. Optional on‑shift engineering (OSE) support on day or night shifts as needed. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience **or** Master’s degree with 6+ months of experience in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM field. Experience in an advanced‑node semiconductor foundry. Experience supporting high‑volume manufacturing ramps and technology transfers. Preferred: Experience as a semiconductor factory technician or engineer. Preferred: Statistics and experimental design skills applied to tool matching, qualification, and process development. Preferred: Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a high‑performing team culture, set high expectations, and maintain a sense of urgency.
