Schedule : 730am -4pm either Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday

Laboratory Animal Technician Daily Tasks: What you will do:

• Provide daily care to laboratory animals, including feeding, watering, and cage cleaning.
• Maintain accurate medical and research records for all animals.
• Sanitize animal rooms, cages, and equipment to ensure a healthy environment.
• Operate vivarium and research-related equipment.
• Interpret medical orders, calculate pharmacologic doses, and administer medications.
• Conduct post-operative exams, evaluations, and data collection.
• Assist with transport, receipt, and shipment of animals.
• Review and evaluate medical records and research data for accuracy.

• High School Diploma/GED with ≥2 years lab animal or veterinary experience
• Ability to perform physical exams on various animal species.
• Ability to lift and handle more than 50 lbs routinely.
• Experience with husbandry for large animals, rodents, or in research settings is a plus.
• Must be able to promptly detect, recognize, and respond to auditory safety cues, including animal vocalizations, equipment alarms, verbal instructions, and changes in environmental or mechanical sounds.
