As an Enterprise Architect on the MMA Enterprise Architecture team, you help business and IT leaders balance current operational demands and future strategic vision. Day in the life You provide technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices within assigned Capability Domains, enabling investment decisions that align with the organization’s long‑term goals. Qualifications 5‑7 years of Enterprise Architecture experience Proven experience building enterprise technical solutions and strategies Leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams or projects, influencing senior management and key stakeholders Experience as a domain or enterprise architect in a large insurance or brokerage organization, responsible for high‑volume operational platforms across core lifecycle processes Preferred Qualifications Ability to translate technical concepts into non‑technical narratives and sell vision to IT and business stakeholders Experience aligning business objectives with IT strategy, creating actionable architectural roadmaps that drive transformation, operational excellence, and scalable modernization Understanding of insurance broking, risk management, or employee benefits processes and solutions Experience in large‑scale application rationalization programs TOGAF certification What can you expect First 3‑12 months evaluating existing projects, assessing business capabilities, and creating roadmaps that deliver necessary functionality Participation in designing and building MMA’s business unit Enterprise Architecture group, including review standards and core processes Key Responsibilities Act as a subject‑matter expert for one or more business capability domains, understanding process dependencies across servicing, transaction, and operational workflows Provide overall direction and definition of IT architecture within your domain(s) to support corporate strategy Review and give feedback on proposals and initiatives; provide technical expertise on a consulting and troubleshooting basis Develop implementation proposals for new applications, capabilities, and services Partner with project sponsors and business users to understand requirements within complex servicing environments that rely on integrated workflows, high data fidelity, and resilience Manage development of supporting components, interface design, and deployment of new systems or services Ensure quality of technology deliverables through standards and best practices for development, QA, security, and service onboarding Keep current with industry trends and communicate opportunities to leadership and peers Advise and mentor technology colleagues and team members on skills, principles, and processes Benefits Generous time off, including personal and volunteering days Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities Remote work Charitable contribution match programs Stock purchase opportunities Compensation Base salary range: $115,800 to $202,700. Base pay is determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage. Performance‑based incentives may apply.
