The Associate Patient Care Coordinator functions as an integral member of the team and is the first point of contact for all people inquiring about the provider's practice. The primary role is to organize the practice's daily activities and paperwork. Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goalsWorking Hours: (38 Hours/Week) Monday and Tuesday from 6:45 am to 7:00 pm, Wednesday from 6:45 am to 1:00pm and every other Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. May change due to business needs.Location: 3927 Rucker Ave. Walk-in Clinic\Urgent Care, Everett, WA 98201 Primary Responsibilities:Greet customers into practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary both on the phone and in personObtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance informationPerform insurance verification on the date of serviceFollow the payment Security policy and procedures according to Optum Medical guidelinesAnswers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner; directs calls and takes messagesAbility to maintain a work queue list- complete any pending actions ie insurance eligibilityObtain patient signatures for required documentsUpload a valid Government issued state ID of patient and patient insurance cardsSchedule and coordinate all patient appointments as directedMaintain an organized and clean work area, free of clutterPrepare all documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient's careMeet or exceed the performance measures established by the Practice Management Dept.Follow established policy and procedures related to the positionParticipate and contribute to a team-based environmentMaintain a team supportive attendance recordUnderstand and deliver quality customer service that is consistent with Optum's efforts in becoming a High-Performance OrganizationFollow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelinesFollow HIPAA regulationsAdapt and perform effectively in a continuously changing environment, and in occasional difficult situationsAbility to cover other offices as neededPerforms other duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
