MIG/TIG Welder

Location: Zeeland, MI
Shift: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM | Monday–Friday
Pay: $20.00–$30.00/hour

Job Summary

We're looking for a skilled and dependable MIG/TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for welding stainless steel components while producing high-quality finished products that meet customer and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has previous MIG and TIG welding experience, is detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing clean, precise welds.

What You'll Be Doing

As a MIG/TIG Welder, your core responsibilities will include:

• Performing MIG and TIG Welding: Weld stainless steel components according to blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications.
• Reading Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Inspecting Weld Quality: Examine completed welds to verify they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Preparing Materials: Set up workpieces and prepare materials for welding using appropriate fixtures and tools.
• Using Hand and Power Tools: Safely operate grinders, sanders, drills, and other fabrication equipment to complete finishing work.
• Maintaining a Safe Work Environment: Keep work areas clean and organized while following all company safety procedures.

In addition, you will assist with material handling, equipment maintenance, and other fabrication duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing both MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand and power tools in a fabrication environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• MIG & TIG Welding: Proficient in welding stainless steel to precise quality standards.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately interpret fabrication drawings and welding specifications.
• Quality Control: Ability to inspect welds and identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Tool Operation: Experience using grinders, sanders, drills, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
• Problem Solving: Ability to make adjustments and resolve fabrication issues as they arise.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and production equipment.
