Radiologic Technologist

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role involves selecting and utilizing appropriate imaging techniques based on patient anatomy and condition, maintaining accurate records, and upholding the highest standards of radiologic care. The technologist may also assist with onboarding new staff and supporting students. Key Responsibilities Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to ensure diagnostic image quality Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including transport, transfer, positioning, and immobilization as needed Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients, addressing both physical and emotional needs Capture and record high-quality digital radiographic images for interpretation by radiologists Maintain accurate documentation and patient imaging records in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards Ensure patient and staff safety through adherence to radiation protection protocols and guidelines Assist new technologists and students by demonstrating proper techniques and maintaining exam room readiness Monitor and maintain adequate stock of imaging supplies and ensure proper room setup for various procedures Required Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Imaging Note: Experience cannot be accepted in lieu of degree for this role Licenses & Certifications: Active Radiologic Technologist State License – Required ARRT Registered Technologist – Radiography (ARRT-R) – Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Preferred Preferred Qualifications (if any) 2–3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist working with diverse patient populations Prior experience in a clinical setting handling complex imaging needs across various departments Certifications (if any) ARRT-R – Required BLS – Preferred Additional imaging certifications (e.g., CT, MRI) are a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
